Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the Android app "LockFrame" (the "App") provided by 25lab LLC (the "Operator"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the App

The App shows photos and videos you choose as a slideshow on your device's lock screen or screen saver. Photos and videos are stored on your device and are not stored on the Operator's servers.

2. Free use and the free period

• The App can be used for free. On the free plan, some features are limited, for example the slideshow shows up to 300 photos and videos
• For 7 days after you install the App (the "Free Period"), every feature works free, the same as LockFrame Plus. When the Free Period ends, you are not charged automatically; the App switches to the free plan
• The Free Period is available once per device. Uninstalling and reinstalling the App does not restart it. However, we do not guarantee that the Free Period can never restart (for example after a device reset), and the Operator may change how the Free Period works without notice

3. Paid plans (LockFrame Plus)

• Paid plans include monthly and yearly subscriptions, and a one-time purchase. Prices are as shown on the Google Play purchase screen
• Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period for the same length and price unless cancelled, and are charged to the payment method registered with Google Play
• You can cancel at any time in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. After cancelling, you can use paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription
• The one-time purchase is paid once and lets you use paid features with no time limit, as long as you use the App with the same Google account
• Payments and refunds follow Google Play's terms and refund policy. The Operator does not issue refunds directly
• The content of paid features may change as the App is improved. If prices change, you will be notified as required by Google Play

4. Your responsibilities

• Only show photos and videos that you own or are allowed to display
• Use the source services, such as Google Photos shared links or your NAS, in line with their own terms
• Photos shown on the lock screen can be seen by anyone holding the device, without unlocking it. Do not import photos you don't want others to see

5. Prohibited conduct

• Using the App for purposes that violate laws or public order and morals
• Reverse engineering or modifying the App to use paid features without paying
• Placing load on the Operator's relay server (used for weather, for example) beyond normal use of the App

6. Disclaimer

• The App is provided as is. The Operator does not guarantee that the App will meet your purposes, be free of bugs, or work on every device
• Changes to or discontinuation of the source services (Google Photos, Google Drive, NAS, weather data providers, etc.) may make some features unavailable. In particular, reading Google Photos shared links is an experimental feature and may stop working without notice
• Weather information is a forecast from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway), and its accuracy is not guaranteed
• Except in cases of the Operator's intent or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for damage arising from your use of the App. Where the Operator is liable, its liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the month the damage occurred

7. Changes to and end of the App

The Operator may change the App or stop providing it. If the App is to be discontinued, we will let you know in advance in the App or elsewhere where possible.

8. Changes to these Terms

The Operator may change these Terms. When they change, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. If you use the App after a change, you agree to the updated Terms.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute concerning the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
